Do you watch Japanese cooking shows? When making korokke, katsu or even uramaki sushi, the chef always seems to have an array of beautiful white trays for preparing ingredients.
These sleek white enamel trays are one of those kitchen utensils that have multiple uses and will be useful time and time again.
When preparing Japanese cuisine, use the shallow trays for coatings such as beaten egg, breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, cornflour and potato starch.
They also make a good container for marinating fish, tofu or thin cuts of meat.
In addition, the enamelware trays can be used as a roasting dish in a conventional oven, toaster oven or air fryer. The convenient smaller size makes them ideal for single meals or small portions.
This set of two enamel trays is handmade and each one may have small marks or slightly uneven coating which occurs as part of the normal manufacturing process.
Each tray measures 19.5cm (about 7¾") wide by 24.5cm (9⅝") long and 4.5cm (1¾") deep.
Made in Japan.
