Let a gentle breeze on a moonlit night calm your mood and send you drifting off to another place...
Wind chimes, or furin, have become a much loved part of summer-time culture in Japan and their gentle sound provides a relaxing and cooling backdrop to hot and humid days.
In Japan, wind chimes, known as furin, are a joyful symbol of summer. Their gentle, tinkling sound is thought to bring a sense of cool relief and offers a soothing contrast to the heat and humidity.
This beautiful glass wind chime has three subtle bands of colour: pale amber at the top resembles pale moonlight and blends to soft green and then to pale blue at the bottom of the bell. Each wind chime is hand crafted including the crystal glass clapper, or zetsu, hanging from inside the bell.
Below the bell, attached to the zetsu, hangs the tanzaku tab. This decorative tab is made from high quality paper which is blank on one side with the company name and logo printed on the other. The tab is not removable but you could write a message on the blank side if you wished.
This Japanese wind chime comes in a pretty pale grey box making it ideal for gifting.
